Overview

Course content

Module 1
S=Self Development and Self Care

Why: Because research shows that we become our parents in parenting unless we work on ourselves actively. Because many of us have wounded inner children that need to be healed so we can show up as adults in our parenting. Because the numbers around parental burn-out are extremely worrisome and going up, so self-care is core! Because we can determine a lot of what kind of parents we want to become or continue to be.

What the module will cover: (among other topics) working on unpacking what we have received from our parents, clearing resentments towards them andforgiveness, dreaming and working on the mindset of what kind of parents we want to become and basics and agreements around self-care for you and your partner.

Module 2
M=Money

Why: Many families struggle with money and having more will make life most of the times easier. Kids will rock your finances!! Thinking differently about money will change participants lives, give them more time with their kids, allow them to have more support or more money for self-care. Who doesn’t want that!??

What the module will cover: Here we will go into Money mindset considerations to have an abundant and responsible family life. How do we take ownership of our finances? How do we save money? How to make more money and start investing for the future? Our relationship with money is also passed down through generations so we also talk about how to have a money magnet family and not a money repellent one! Money IS also love.

My collaborator on the Money module will be Paul van der Kwast, an amazing and renown (and independent!) financial advicer who I hired myself and other people I know, and has made a huge impact already in my finances.

Module 3
A=Aware Parenting

Why: Because this is a parenting philosophy that has changed my life. Aware Parenting is an attachment-based and trauma-informed approach to parenting which does not use either punishments or rewards. It questions most traditional assumptions about raising children and proposes a new approach that cansignificantly improve relationships within a family and prevent behavior problems. Parents who follow this approach raise children who are cooperative, compassionate, competent, nonviolent, and drug free.

What the module will cover: All the basics of the Aware Parenting philosophy, including the big areas: Sleep, food, emotions, healing stress and trauma, etc.

Module 4
R=Relations (including Roles and responsibilities and community support)

Why: Because research shows that the relation suffers dramatically after the arrival of a baby. Because research shows that a lot of stress in new families comes from outside unsolicited advice and tensions with the rest of the family members. Because many caretakers feel very isolated and lonely. Because we don’t live in community anymore. Because your family might be far or is better that they are far.

What the module will cover: Roles and responsibilities, partners work (including family values and communication). We will build a community of support as it takes a village to raise a kid.

Module 5
T=Time

Why: Because time is the most precious assets we have but we often forget about this. Because when a baby arrives time shrinks and puts a lot of pressure in all areas of life.

What the module will cover: Time mindset. I bring invaluable teachings from several other renown coaches that I have learnt about ‘time’, both from a mindset point of view as well as fantastic tips and tricks to radically change the time you have and how you manage it.
